The two voices

The first woman of the humanity faced a big dilemma. What voice to hear, the voice of God or the voice of the devil? She had received that word that came out form the mouth of God, saying to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil; otherwise they would die.
“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” Genesis 2:16, 17
After she heard the suggestion of the devil too, that said to eat from the tree God had said to not eat.
“Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit from the trees of the garden; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You will not eat of it, nor will you touch it, or else you will die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5 For God knows that on the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:1-5
We have the word of God that shows us His will and the way we should follow. On the other hand, the devil also blows on our minds his ideas that are against the orders of God. By disobeying God we lose the right of His blessing, we stay away from His presence, and consequently we become vulnerable to the action of evil.
Observe that the devil deceives people. He make it seem as if you could win when following His direction, but never let people see what they will lose. Look at his words to Eve, “Eat, you surely will not die”, “Your eyes will be opened,”  “you will become like God knowing good and evil.” The devil always wanted to be like God, that’s why he rebelled against God. Now he was suggesting Eve to do the same. Unfortunately he got it!
Nothing pleases more God than our obedience. It’s not our dedication, what we do at church, evangelization, etc. All of these things are important, but if there’s no obedience, nothing of these is accepted by God. To who have you heard? The voice of God or the voice of the devil? This will depend your life and your future.
