“Jesus said to her, “Go, call your
husband, and come here.” The woman answered, “I have no husband.” Jesus said to
her, “You are right in saying, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had
five husbands, and he whom you now have is not your husband. So you have spoken
truthfully.” John
4.16-18
The
conversation went on and now the Lord Jesus asked the Samaritan woman to call
her husband, this way He wanted to confront her sin. His intention was neither
to judge her nor to condemn her, but to make her aware of her mistake. We can
only repent when we recognize our sin. Sometimes God needs to put his finger on
our wound to see our own reality and spiritual condition.
Think
now of what God has confronted you, whether it’s your pride, rebellion, evil
genius, lies, whatever; do not be afraid of what you may discover within
yourself, but propose to give it up forever. Only then you can receive what you
are seeking in this Fast of Daniel, the Holy Spirit.
The
Lord Jesus wants sincerity. God wants to hear from your mouth what is inside
you, as much as He already knows. It was what he did with that woman and she
was sincere in her response.
Jesus
confronts us to save us. He will never confront you in an accusatory way to
overwhelm you, but always with love showing the solution and giving His
forgiveness. Who plays the accuser is the devil that accuses you and causes
distress and anguish within.
Be
sincere with God and I am sure that He will bring the peace you need within
you. Read the previous articles on this message:

My sins were pride, lying to myself and I had stopped telling myself the truth. I was becoming too sensitive and holding grudges when the truth was told. Entering the kingdom of God is no catwalk. It will require the truth, which is not comfortable.
The lady was a prostitute, and in those times , prostitues were whores not like today.
Thank you
