That's pride

Did you ever consider that pride may present itself in a sneaky way?
It comes nicely dressed, trying to fool us, when we know that it is something that damages our soul and corrupts our interior.

Let us pause to meditate:

- Maybe you really want something, the question is: do you want it to glorify God or to satisfy your ego? If it was the latter, know that it’s pride, even if what you want is good, the intention is wrong.
- You consider yourself better or superior to others, it is also pride
- When reprimanded and inside you get very angry and you do not accept the correction, this is pride.
- When you trust and depend on your own wisdom and ability, ignoring God in your life, that's pride
- When you hide behind your many good works and think you deserves any praise, that is pride.
- When you think you hold the truth and that everything should be done according to your will, that is pride.
- You consider yourself sufficient, you think you do not need anyone nor help, that is pride.

If you are reading all this and think that you never make these mistakes and that you do not need to worry about this matter, I advise you to watch out, for what we fail to watch is what can make us fall.

My darlings, let us not allow this vile feeling to be part of our lives and our interior, let us seek a broken spirit that pleases God and brings us to a privileged spiritual level.

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." James 4: 6

My biggest fear is to be praised. I have fear that I will want more always and the day I don't then I will leave the presence of God.

I don't even allow my friends to tell me thanks in the work of God.
I never post the works on Facebook or any other social media. This will feed my ego.

This is so true
We really have to watch that we don't become proud
