A Mother’s Mission 9 - The power words can have

Want to know something you should never do? Talk about your children’s flaws to others. I’ve seen this happen before, the mother isn’t happy with her child’s behavior and so when someone is visiting their home, she’ll start talking about all the bad things her daughter or son does, they do this with the intention that she or he will feel ashamed and change her attitude, but just the opposite tends to occur.

This is how the conversation went along as the mother vented to the guest in her home:

“ She’s lazy, she doesn’t want to help me in anything, she wakes up late, her room is a mess, she is nothing like her sister, I don’t even know who she came out like….”

And with that said, she ended up saying to her daughter:

“Nobody is going to want to marry you the way you are, you’re going to be all alone, the first boyfriend you have I’m going to tell him everything, and when he finds out, he’s going to run…”

Be careful with your words, which make all the difference, as a mother your words have power in the life of your children, that’s why you should never curse them with your words, use the power of your words instead to bless them, and confess good things for them and their future.

Sometimes, in the moment of your fury you say many things and soon after you regret it, but remember after you’ve already said the words there is no way to take them back.

Watch your words and control your anxiety to say things you don’t mean, your child’s future is greatly measured by what you determine for their lives.

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?” James 3:10,11

Wow Mrs Tania, the sentence you first wrote on how a mother saying bad things about her kid to the guest was the exactly what my mom always said to neighbors about me in the past. Thank God, He took me out of the garbage and all bad words she spoke had been broken.
