What young person do you identify yourself with in the Bible?

Youth 1 – What do you think is there?
Hi, my dear friends, how are you? Starting this week I will be writing about the young people of the Bible. Which one will you identify yourself with? I want to read your comments later, okay?

Well, I guess the subject is pretty common between us, right?  Every human being is born with a certain curiosity, a desire to know things and we can see this clearly from our first years of life; Every child wants to touch, to taste, to take everything that he sees in front of her, because everything is new to her and she wants to know what  is before her. But the curiosity of someone  in the Bible caught my attention, let's see who? Read with me:

“Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.” Genesis 34:1-2

Let's take a look at this verse: Dinah was a young woman, and she was curious to see the "daughters of the earth", that is, I believe that she, being Jewish, wanted to see their customs,  the clothes, and so on... of the young women of the land of Shechem: the Canaanites, who for sure  were very different from them. Bringing to the present day: a young woman in the Church, accustomed to the things of God, then the devil blows the curiosity to see "the daughters of the earth", or things that the friends of the world do. Dinah paid a very high price for her curiosity. She was raped and forced to move in with her rapist; Because of this humiliation, her brothers made a massacre in that city and many people died. But even though they had avenged their sister's rape, the evil was already done, she had already been dishonored, who would marry her now? Her future was damaged because of a simple curiosity. Now, imagine if she had overcome this curiosity and stayed home with her family! She could have been a great woman of God, mother of many children, mentioned in the Bible, but ...

And now I ask you, my flower, Is it worth putting your future, your life at risk because of a simple curiosity to know the things of the world? To know what it's like to kiss a boy at school? To know the taste of an alcoholic beverage? To know what smoking feels like? To know how it feels to use drugs? To know what it feels like to have sex? Simply because school girls, neighbors, cousins comment and want to put that curiosity for you to do too? It is not worth my dear. Just watch Bishop Sergio Correia’s program on Facebook and  you will see how many people who have decided to go to the world, do the will of their flesh, satisfying their curiosity that today they call for help to be able to return to Jesus... Would you want to be one more in this immense sea of those seeking for help? Think about it. Dinah wanted to satisfy her curiosity and paid a very high price, so do not follow her example.

And you, have you identified yourself with Dinah? Share your comments, who do you think will be next week's youth? We have an appointment scheduled girls! A big kiss and may Jesus bless you.
