Virtual “Cliques”

We all know that the virtual world has taken gigantic proportions; and why not say even frightening ones? It is true that it brought great benefits, such as quick News, almost in real time, communication with loved ones who are far away, promotion of products, companies, events, etc.
But let’s admit that it also has many negative aspects, such as: promoting gossip, problems between couples, destruction of families, a lot of temptation to the young, like clandestine meetings with strangers that sometimes bring irremediable consequences, inappropriate behavior, mistakes, etc.
But today I want to talk particularly about the virtual “cliques,” that have become fashion! For those who do not know, in a figurative sense, “clique” is a group of people who gather or usually meet in closed ways, and prevent others to incorporate in the group. I am not referring to groups established for business purposes for a more efficient communication, or between family members; however these groups are formed in order to gossip, pass on information that it’s not their business and do not add anything. Although it seems something wild there are people who have fun doing it!!
I always learned in the work of God that famous cliques are not good nor do they add anything positive. And it’s not part of the behavior of a person of God. If a small group of people is isolated and does not allow third parties to approach them, it’s not for good things. What has been calling my attention are virtual cliques, people who create groups in WhatsApp normally to gossip.
I am not referring to a group that you belong with your friends to share spiritual things, healthy content, or with your family to maintain communication. I see no problem with that. The problem is to accept being in a group to speak bad about others, be aware of everything that is happening or receive information that does not concern you. It’s bad for the one who sends and the one who receives the information. If the person says, “but I do not write anything,” but is attentive of what they write and remains in the group, she is accepting and is part of it all.
Dear friend, if you are part of a group like that my advice is to disconnect it. I guarantee you that you will not miss anything, on the other hand it will protect your faith.
“I said, “I will guard my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will restrain my mouth…” Psalm 39: 1.

It's important to be aware who you are close too and what type things they talk about,if is going to add to your spiritual life or take away.

Yes Mrs.Tania it's so true. To protect our faith and to know that if we are a part of the conversation and say nothing but still are in group shows that we accept it. And it's just as bad.

It is true, Mrs .

I would like to also add. I decided to cut some people in my space, before I did this, I observed and paid a good eye on myself and around the people.

I decided that, not because I thought I was better. But I told myself I need to learn and I'm not learning here rather I'm losing so let me remove myself.

It's a great thing to do. It is so great being busybusy and not having time to get involved in things that is not my business, it's nice not knowing everything that does not concern you.

Thanks
