We know that
intention is the will or purpose of a person; reaction on the other hand is the
attitude a person has in response to their situations. It means that many times
the intentions are good, but the reaction may not be. Why? Because even though
your intentions were very good but you couldn’t control your impulse in an
unforeseen situation or provocation, you ended up reacting in a negative way.
The devil knows
that you wouldn’t make a mistake in your intentions but he also knows that you
could fall easily when it comes to your reactions so he makes it easy for you. Jesus
had been praying in the Gethsemane before He was confronted by His enemies.
Everything was happening even before He sacrificed His life for us. That moment
of “battle” and provocation from those who hated Him was necessary. If Jesus
reacted in a negative way His sacrifice would not be perfect but as the word of
God says: He was led as a lamb to the slaughter (Isaiah 53:7)
In other words He
didn’t react, didn’t sin, but remained pure. His reaction revealed His real
intention: die to save us. He was not interested in showing off his power, His
majesty, and honor, His only intention was to save.
When trying to
defend Jesus Peter cut the ear of a soldier, Jesus immediately restored it. He
didn’t want arguments, revenge or do any bad; once again He showed his pure and
genuine love. That moment that Jesus faced illustrates many of the situations
that we face daily. It also shows our real intentions and reveals our reactions
before the unforeseen situations, attacks, and injustice. There’s a battle in
our minds and hearts. An interior battle that awakens when we face hardships
and tries to “connect” our reactions to our intentions.
“He who
is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his
spirit than he who takes a city.” Proverbs
16:32

when we understand the vision of Jesus for our lives, our mentality changes also and we become very mature and focused.
We are able to walk in Jesus character and His love when we start to look at ourselves through His eyes. When we look at ourselves through His eyes your mind become like His mind. We are able be like Him, forgive, not seek revenge, self praise. And when people misunderstand us you don't try to justify your actions or intentions ,you just let it go and pray to Him.
Only through Him can we do this, and it's up to our intimacy we have and invest with Him.iHim . It's wonderful I tell you. You get to know more about yourself and your value, I love this.
I didn't see it this way, but this is what I'm been going through that my intention are good, but when I go through situations, problems, the battles I go through inside I failed. I don't control the thoughts that comes to my mind and even my own heart!. And I end up sinning against God many times because I don't know how to work for myself to control or even dominate my mind and feelings of my heart. I have trouble by going in faith, believe that God is with me, the doubts . Pastor preach about this on Wednesday even though we know what to do oe have to do, we don't because we always listen to the evil thoughts when we go through its like we forget who we are and who is with us. We see the situations instead of God, we desist, doubt, sin. I have to overcome this and work on this or I will be lost. So I will try, to go by faith and move forward and be more vigilant and trust him. Thank you for sharing Mrs.Rubim
