Happy New Year!

Now that the year is about to end, we hear this phrase everywhere, “Happy New Year!” Everyone has the same routine and habit of making plans, planning projects, and determining that this year will be better and different.

They ask themselves what else could I have done? So many plans that didn’t go through, projects left half way, bad decisions, and they regret not making the right decisions and they wish they had taken advantage of their time. Now there’s no time to cry about the past, there is just a bright hope for the New Year.

There is so much desire and expectation that the New Year will bring good things. And so we begin our list, this year I am going to this, and I am going to do that, we think to ourselves “It wont happen the way it did last year where I didn’t achieve my goals; I was lazy, didn’t step out of my comfort zone, this year I won’t be any of that, this year will be different. The bad thoughts I’ve thought or the bad things I’ve kept inside or even done, I won’t let them happen this year...” and so on.

The sad truth though is that words are not enough, we need action. The truth is everything will be different if you are with God, and you do your part. To be with God is not simply to go to church to fulfill a Christian obligation, to be with God is to obey His voice, do what pleases Him, to live to Serve Him, and leave behind what’s wrong and doesn’t please Him, even if all that means going against your own flesh.

The real change is inside of us, if you are decided to have a true New Year, different, start by taking different actions. Let’s start the New Year with a renewed mind-set and a heart completely turned to God.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Be Blessed in the name of Jesus Christ! That all of you may be a reference to God in this world and bear fruits for His Glory. Thank you for your care and support all throughout this year. We will continue together in 2012, believing and learning from each other!

Kisses!!
