Living By Faith

Pastor's wives show great faith when they leave everything to serve God in the Altar.
They left behind their careers, their families, their country and some the desire to have children in order to be able to give more to the work of God.
There were fears, questions, demands, they were willing to live by faith, facing the unknown and having no worries about the future.
Go to a faraway country, poor or even think that we would not have children to take care of when we were little old ladies never scared us, we believe in God’s provision.
The question is: Do we continue to live by faith or as time has passed we have begun to look back?
We cannot make the mistake of thinking that because one day we had the courage to give up everything that already was a great show of faith and serves forever.
Living by faith, is the person not to be concerned with tomorrow, not worried where they will be transferred, it is to follow the will of God, it’s to go forward without fear, and not wanting to choose the city or the country you will serve, It’s not to be shy to leave things behind, at the when we move we must get rid of a lot of things.
I once heard a comment like: “Oh I’m already stabilized here; it will take a lot to change again and start all over again.”
Where’s the faith? See how it is easy for a person that serves in the altar, make the mistake of thinking that she is living by faith when they do not live in truth.
When you start looking at your own life, want to choose, demand, think about what’s best for your flesh, look for certain stability, are attached to material things. This is where we see that we are not living by faith.
Living by faith requires leaving our comfort zone and believe that our life is being led by the Holy Spirit.
Be on guard, for who does not live by faith, apart from not being considered righteous before God, when we decide to look back God is not pleased with us.
Who does not live by faith, everything will be a hardship, for their eyes this are focused on the circumstances and not in the power of God.
“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back..” (Hebrews 10:38)

I once read a blog post which was a diary of a pastors wife. She was in a country where the church wasn't able to open for some days because the war became really bad. She wrote the blog post with sincerity and we could see the struggles but we could also see the power of God. Not once did she look back- I have to be in this same faith, even now before I go on the altar. Thank you for this reminder !

Wow, to live by faith is a daily practice, not an occasional event, this is what I understand from the above. There have been times I have really taken a leap of faith, however I can't rely on that, I need to put my faith and focus on today.

Pastors' wives really do sacrifice a lot to go to the alta.I have a great respect and admire their faith because when you're sacrificing your own life and dreams to do the will of God and save Him,whatever you left behind doesn't count whether it was a good carrier and which other better carrier than to be the employee of the Most High and the rewards are to die for.

Faith must always be found on my profile, I cannot for any reason lose faith or give up. I should always have faith that God will provide no matter the circumstances.
Thank you Mrs Tania

I have so much respect for the Pastors and Bishops wives. To leave everything and only desire to do the work of God for the rest of their lives.Knowing that you cant pray for any material things belonging to you but only for the blessings of the members. Its empowering that God has placed you where you are and you have accepted His calling wholeheartedly ,God bless you and use you even more.

Thank you for reminding us that once we surrender our lives to God we shouldn't be looking back at our old life. We should continue and focus to the work of God.

Very strong. The moment we start to do things our way we stop leaving by faith because our flesh wants to do what it pleases and to leave by faith requires daily sacrifice & denial of ones own will.

Thank you Mrs Tanya. Living by faith is a true sacrifice and very few people can do it. It's the ability to trust in God fully, not to worry(hard task for most women) but as servants we have to throw ourselves in Gods hands and believe with conviction that He will indeed catch us and no harm will come to us.

Truelly living by faith requires sacrifice. I will make good use of these tips that I have learnt from your blog posts Mrs Tania especially when God has chosen me to serve Him on the altar and I will also apply them even now to prepare for the future. Thank you

Dear mrs Tania
It is true we should live by faith and believe that the Lord will provide it doesn't matter the place and country God will never let us down. The Bible says in the book of 1Timothy 4:10 "That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God who is the savior of all people and especially of those who believe(who have faith)". without faith we can do nothing because even our Salvation we conquer by it by faith.
Thank you
God bless
