Picture with a message - Temple

I had the opportunity to visit the Holy Land in January of 2011 with the Sisterhood and I can tell you it was a once in a life time experience.

I'd like to share it with you all, the picture above is the Wailing Wall, the Wailing Wall in Israel is a place that caught a lot of my attention and it amazed me, it transmits lots of spirituality.

The wall is what's left of the Temple of Solomon, it is also a place where the Israelites go often to pray and wail about not having a temple in which to be able to worship God. The place holds so much respect that even as you walk away from it, it's necessary to walk backwards because it would be disrespectful to give your back to the wall, in other words God, you don't see anyone talking there and you're not even allowed to take pictures while you are in there.

It's very sad when we see people in the church who don't have the minimum respect for the temple, and in fact, they act however they please, chatting, picking up phone calls while the service is going on, throwing trash on the floor, and to my complete shock even putting chewing gum under the chairs and as unbelievable it may sound, cutting their finger nails right in the middle of the service! And that's not mentioning the spiritual side of it all, because these people place absolutely no attention to anything the pastor is preaching, they sleep in the middle of the sermon, they also write and send texts, in reality these scenes are such a shame.

The Jews desire so much their temple and love it so much that even though they don't have one, they show their great respect and fear for the Wailing Wall. Many of us that have our church, don't know how to appreciate and care for it very well, if these people do all these things in church in such a natural way, without noticing, imagine how their spiritual lives must be?

"One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." (Psalm 27:4 NIV)

Hi Mrs. Tania! Thank you for the message. It is true that we should treat the church with utmost respect because it is the House of God, the Creator of the Universe. Only those who are spiritual though understands the sacred value of this place. Only those who love God will treat the things of God with utmost reverence.

Its so said when you see people doing those kind of things in the church. It clearly shows lack of respect for God, then I wonder why did they leave their houses from the beginning.People just need to learn to respect God then they will see him working in their lives. Thank you ms Tania I love your messages
