Women of the Bible in real time: Deborah, strength

Deborah was a woman of admirable strength, she was a prophetess, judge and wife, her life for sure was a non-stop one.
She looked after her husband and home intently, she led and advised the people of God and even went to war. This is indeed a brave woman!
In addition, she sang a song to the Lord in thanksgiving for her victory over her enemies.
Because of her commitment and dedication she was named , "mother of Israel", a title well deserved, is it not it?
She was the spiritual mother of the people; her faith and courage contaminated and motivated the people.
Today it’s no different, women need to double their work to meet all their obligations.
Take care of your house, husband, children, work, school, church. Oh, so many things to account for it seems you can’t keep up with everything.
Wake up early, get ready, give breakfast to your husband and you’re out the door and off to work. After a long day, you get off work and rush to church so that you won’t be late.
Then, you come home, prepare dinner, give some attention to your children, prepare everything for the next day, when you’re finish you long to sit on the couch and put your feet up; but you’re not done just yet, you have to still take care of yourself. Life seems like a marathon.
Don’t be anguished, you’ve just discovered you're a superwoman.
But, just as Deborah was able to perform many tasks, we can too. All you need to do is organize your time and depend on God in every situation.
Put yourself at Gods’ disposal, and He will give the ability to do all these things. Or will you give up, abandon everything and impede the purpose of God to be realized in your life?
Ask God to make of you, a warrior, whether it be in the forefront of your home or in the service of God's work.
Make yourself available to God and He will do the rest!

Wow, it's really hard to believe that it's possible to become this kind of woman. We have so much work to do as we are the helper. Just as the Holy Spirit is our helper and directs every step we take, we also have the same responsiblity. if we do not rely on God, seriously we will definately crash and burn! God is the one whom strengthens, keeps us calm and pushes us to move forward even when we stumble.

If Debora was able to do it then i am able to do it too & especially with the help of the Holy Spirit there is no doubt that we cannot to anything. God gave us 24 hours for a reason because He knew that everything we needed to do could be done it that time. Now in order for that to happen we have to be organised and this is something i have been learning during rush month for sisterhood and i have found the Debora in me because many times i don't feel like doing ANYTHING but i get strength from the Holy Spirit.

Mrs Tania,
believe it or not but I am a terrible person at keeping appointments, remembering what I have to do during the day or simply arriving somewhere on time. VERY TERRIBLE!!!!!.
But I later learned that no body wants to trust someone who is not organised or rather can't keep appointments and time schedules, I also realised I was doing everything with my own strength, so what I started doing is praying for God to put me in His plans and let my day go according to His will so everything I plan will also happen and recently I am able to fulfil everything I have planed and organise myself to get certain places on time it's not a dramatic change but it's an big improvement from what I used to be.

Mrs Tania,

It is very true every morning I put myself in God's disposal and he gives the ability to perform my task at work, at home. Before, I did not get things done on time or did not even try to do my errands. Now God guides through out my day, and I get up take care of myself, get my kids ready, prepare breakfast for my family, take them to the babysitter, go to work and complete my work. After work, pick them up, go home cook, feed them, go to church, come back home get everything ready for the next day, do laundry. My life has change since I met God and learn a lot from V Woman. I thank God that he gives me the ability to complete my tasks and take care of my family.

It seems that women are always busy atttending to something; rising up early and going to bed late. Deborah was a woman of strength with great responsibilities. However, she always managed to complete everything she did. I have recently started working on organizing my time better, by moving certain tasks to different days, and it's making the difference.

While I am thankful for Dorothy's influence on your life, I am sorry you lost her. May God comfort and bless you, and may you continue to be blessed by her life.

Very true, only when we are at God's disposal we are going to be able to manage every task that is in front of us. When we trust and depend on him we are going to be able to do things that we never imagined we could do.
