Poor Girl

Hey girls, how are you? Recently, we heard in the news about a 16 year old girl who was raped by 33 men in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I know it is a controversial topic, and many have speculated: it was rape, it was not rape, it was consensual, she liked to get involved in things like that; she lived in a shantytown, she had a life of debauchery, etc. The truth we do not know, only those involved know. But what I want to write today is about the life of this teenager, including what her own mother said.

This poor girl apparently did whatever she wanted to do.  In her Facebook account she had pictures holding guns, drugs, she even said that she went to a funk party where the drug dealers that were present were her friends, and something else she said was that she had her son at 13 years old. Well, a lot of the things she does or did are the same things that a lot of young people want to do today, even the ones inside the Church, would like to do too. Many have curiosity to use drugs, have sex, go to the clubs, to drink alcohol, to smoke, to wear sexy clothes and act as if they were adults. Many do not want to respect their parents and obey them thinking that their parents are very protective and annoying. But dear young people, you know what? All the advices you hear for you not to satisfy the desires of your flesh and your teenage hormones is nothing more than protecting you from danger!

Look at what happened to this young girl. Did the life of debauchery bring something good for her and her family? Today everybody is talking about her. Her images are all over the Internet, but I ask you:  if she had obeyed her parents, sought for help, stayed away from this life, do you think all of this could've happened? Was it worth to live this kind of life? Another case that caught my attention this week was that of a teenager here in Texas that her 15 years boyfriend also raped, choked and hid her body under the sink of an abandoned apartment and even recorded what he did. Do you think that when we counsel young girls to wait for a young man of God, to preserve herself and not to get involved with the boys who are not of the same faith, we are over reacting and wanting to be annoying? No friends, we already know how evil the devil’s plans are and what he wants is to rob, kill and destroy the lives of young people, their families and all around them. The devil wants to destroy their adolescence so that their future is already messed up from an early age, and I ask you: is this how you want your life to be? Girls, be wise  and intelligent, be the precious stones that are different from everyone else. Be the ones that listen to advices, the ones that seek to please God, the ones that turn away from evil and do not let the world's curiosity to lead you to the path of suffering. Run away from evil!

And as we begin Daniel's fasting this week YEEEY, Woohoo \0/, then I will give you an idea that my friend Carine gave me and I found it to be very interesting. Because I know girls like to write in their diaries, how about you write a diary to God? Get a notebook and every day you will be writing to God, your struggles, difficulties, thoughts, write ALL to God, talk to Him with words written down, ok? And I’d like to see a picture of your diary, you can decorate it really nice and send me a picture, okay? You can post it on my Facebook page, just click the Facebook icon next to my picture below and you will be redirected to my page.

We will devote our time to God. Let's enjoy this fasting to mature spiritually and be filled with the Holy Spirit. I'll be praying for each of you to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. If you want, leave your name below in the comments or on my Facebook page, because I will write them down in my notebook and I'll be praying for you. Let us go in this faith because God has wonderful things for those who seek Him.

A big kiss and until next week.

Good day. My name is Lerato Maidi.
Thank you very much for such opportunities and messages. I am really grateful especially considering the fact that I spend more time at work than I do at work, so I cannot participate as often as I used to. So such messages help people like me to keep in spirit all the time.
