We all know that leaven is used to make the dough rise, i.e. to grow.
You may ask, "but what does that have to do with me?" Everything!
Let's read the following passage:
“Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you
may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our
Passover, was sacrificed for us.
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice
and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
As you read, you don’t
need a lot of leaven to leaven the whole lump; a single comment that we make
about something or someone will infect the heart of the listener and it can
cause bad eyes, bad thoughts, malice, complex. It often makes you look at that specific
person through the eyes of the other, so imagine if that other person has bad
eyes, so will your eyes be. This also applies to what we say and sow in the
hearts of the others, as well as to what we hear and don’t know how to filter.
If we are not
vigilant, the bad things will take major proportions within us, and before we
notice we are contaminated; these negative things have taken over. What begins
with a thought, after being fed, turns into bad eyes and we end up judging, to the
point of not willing to see that person.
You might say,
"but I do have my reasons, she's bad, she’s truly unbearable;" still,
if you keep bad feelings, you should know that you are the only one affected, not
her.
It can happen to everyone,
why the importance to shield our faith, eyes, ears and thoughts.
This is part of
keeping our communion with God, to protect our salvation.
Don’t forget that the
goal of the devil is to attack your faith, getting your inside dirty; keep your
eyes fixed on Jesus. Only then, we can be truthful and honest with ourselves
and with God.
So girls, avoid wordly
conversations that don’t edify in anything, gossipers who only approach you to
throw flaming arrows to contaminate you, beware! And make sure you are not the
one who has acted this way.
You have to protect
yourself, God is not going to do it, you are responsible for undermining your faith.

Actually we have to watch, because the evil communications corrupt good manners .
We have to protect our faith and above all our communion with God.
Because once having evil eyes how can reach God? The best way to protect yourself and stay away from evil conversation.
