I'm sad not to serve on the Altar

I've received such emails several times; people who wished to serve on the Altar and for one reason or another, their life took a different turn and today they serve on the court as assistants or evangelists.

My beautiful friends, the most important is for you to put yourself at God's disposition in order to serve Him, no matter the position; whether you serve on the court or on the Altar, it's in God's hands. What you need to do is to give your best where you are.

Many people stopped in time because they weren’t called to the Altar. They got discouraged and they don’t want to do anything anymore for God, they go like this: "if it's not on the altar then I don’t want to serve, it doesn’t give me the same pleasure.”

Let's change this narrow and selfish thought because God can use you so greatly on the court that you have no idea.

So don’t close your vision. Don’t live sad because what you've dreamt about so much didn’t happen, which was to serve on the altar. Don’t live thinking about the past, or about what you could have done differently. Do your best at what God has given you now because that's why He chose you.

So don’t be worried about anything. If your desire is to win souls, you can be sure that God will make you a potential soul winner.

Sometimes we don’t understand God's plans, but you can be sure that He knows what He's doing and He will never abandon you.

So don’t live frustrated, sad or discouraged; be a reference of God at home, in school, at work, everywhere.

If it helped you, leave your comment.

one thing we must know is that when we are of God we don't choose what we want to do for God we are ready to do anything God, and if we have this kind of spirit it means we have to be sincere and seek for help as quickly as possible Thanks for the message

I actually thought that I was the only one who thought this way...really. I had an opportunity to serve on the altar once and denied this chance because I didn't really like the pastor. I dated him because I thought it was the "right" thing to do which in the end did not work out. There are times I think, "What if I had not broken up with him?" or "Did I make a mistake?" I ask this today because we broke up almost 10 years ago and I am still single today. I always wonder if I messed up and lost my chance at happiness.

After reading this post and really listening to God's advice I realize everything happens for a reason and we just need to trust in God.

Thanks a lot for the variety of posts, sometimes we suffer in silence for fear of asking for help but every post literally helps in some part of my life.

Kisses

Sometimes it's hard to accept and we even question why God has not put us in a certain place and we allow it to put us down but this post just reminds me that it is HIS work (emphasis on His) and He will do what is best for His work.

Thank you for sharing xx
