“David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hills of the Desert of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands.” 1 Samuel 23:14
King Saul lived to serve and please God, but one day he had an unfortunate idea of disobeying God’s voice and therefor he lost the throne and someone else was chosen to take his place.
Now Saul’s life took a complete different direction, his vision was no longer the same. He forgot his principles, his faith and the fear of God he had before and became a self-centered and troubled person.
His main focus was now, to kill the one who posed a threat to his position as a king.
All his forces and energies were now directed to destroy David, God did no longer matter, neither did the people or the enemies of Israel, he was the one that mattered at the moment.
De didn’t accept God’s will and rebelled, showing everything that was bad within him, he finally lost his focus.
Who serves God on the Altar is aware that his life is to please God and to show the name of Jesus, even if his is never known. Its function is to give, always thinking of the souls.
The fall of a man/ woman of God begins when they forget about this and start looking at themselves, wanting a prominent position, wanting recognition, and wanting their work to be rewarded.
As you see now, the word has changed, is no longer “give”, but “want”, so then the life of the servant of God begins to fall through the cliff.
His vision is not the work of God, now he will act by the force of his arms and fight for a position or a place that in his view is where he deserves to be. Bad feelings begin to take over his interior, such as hatred, envy, jealousy, defamation and even the will to disappear with those who seem a threat to his success, which was exactly what happened to King Saul.
When a person focuses on herself and stops thinking about the souls, in pleasing God, in obeying the will of God; then comes his ruin and there is no one who can help him.
