I am not able!

Today I want to speak to those who do not feel qualified to serve God.
I receive several emails about this, but I do not agree with this thought.
Maybe you’re one of them and did not realize that this phrase, “I am not able,” contradicts our faith and goes against the word of God.
In reality it doesn’t really matter what we think about ourselves, but what the Word of God says, and he was very clear about this, our part is only to believe and do not doubt.
“Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
2 Corinthians 3:5,6
Low self-esteem is what causes these bad feelings of self-condemnation and the person feels less, inferior and incompetent.
But then, how to combat insecurity and fears that appear along the way?
- First we must recognize that we need God for everything, that without Him we cannot do anything.
- Going forward in the plans that God has for our lives.
- Avoid comparisons, each one is different and has its own value.
- Be calm, because we know that we belong to God and He will take care of every detail.
- Admire the qualities of others, but know that you also have yours.
- Never say I can’t without having tried.
- Do not be afraid to take risks and take steps of faith, do not forget: you are God’s chosen one.
Well, I hope I have contributed to ending these sophism; we’ll never say “I’m not qualified to serve God.”
Who agrees with me and will join me, leave your comment.

I agree with you Mrs Tania, I will never say "I'm not qualified to serve God". He choose me and his word strengthens me everyday.

I agree with you. Saying I can't really goes against everything my faith is meant to be about. I use to really feel inferior before others as I had a bad habit of comparing myself to others, I don't do it as much as before but I need to continue working against this. I really like the tips on how to combat these insecurities, I'm definitely going to practise these. Very helpful, Thank you.x

I agree with you Mrs Tania this is strong and very true , the worse cage we can be stuck in is a cage of self-condemnation because is what separates us from seeing things in God's ways and stop us from living by faith.Thank you for the post it helpful and I'm definitely go to practice this.

I totally agree with you.
There is no way that God would choose us to serve Him knowing that we are incapable of being used.yes we are not worthy,we dont deserve to,but WE CAN!!He believes in us,and so should we.if we keep saying that i cant without having tried,we'll be limiting God's power, trust and authority in us and that would be letting him down, literally.
Thank you Mrs Tania for sharing.

Thank you for this message !
It's a reminder to trust in God is know what is best for us. Don't make things difficult but to trust in him and we can accomplish great things with God by our side.

I am one of those that agree with you Mrs Tania. With God we are more than able to tackle any situation that comes before us.If the situation was greater than us God would not allow it anywhere close to us.As each of us has different talents and abilities so we will not give the same results. We must seek for more of God's anointing in us and go forward

Hi Mrs. Tania , I used to have this thought but not anymore, like your post says that it doesn't matter what we think or say about ourselves what counts is what is written in the word of God. We do not have to be afraid but trust in His word. God bless you, thank you for the message.

So true.God doesn't limit us so why should we limit ourselves. In fact he raises us up.He takes the foolivj things of the earth and puts to shame the so called wise.he takes the shy,the insecure and raises them up.one more thing I've learnt this month is to never ever compare myself with other people as we all have our individual good qualities

I absolutely love this post I struggled with this for a long time until I realised that no matter my condition I would never be worthy of the work of God. But God doesn't look at perfection in me but my desire and surrender. Once I understood this I was able to overcome it.

Thank you I agree we as woman suffer from the complexes that constantly plague us. Thank you once again. I notice I need to believe in myself and God and not what I feel as feelings can deceive. Thank you God bless.

Hello Ms. Tania I remember that was one of the thoughts i had to constantly fight against...there was a positive thought telling me you can do it you will serve me you have the potential, your Gods chosen but in the other hand i had little doubts and fears....i would do everything the pastors would indicate the church to do or me but i would listen but then again a thought (doubt) would take this faith away....i saw that everyone who had come after me was moving on in the faith except for me until one day i decided and said you know what i can do it i dont care what these negative thoughts have to say i know i can make it...i started to work on myself and thankfully God i am able to serve Him and still going for more to serve God even more than what i already do... God Bless you Ms Tania abundantly

I trully agree Ms Tania, we most of the times tend to look down to ourselves, even before God, this is wrong and it stops now! :)

I've often said that I was not able to serve God, to be the wife of a pastor. I compared myself to the other wives and I thought I could never do what they do. These are good wives who give good advice that helps everyone (the people, the FJF girls, younger girls ...). Your message will bear fruit!

I agree with you Mrs Tania. God wants to use each of us in different ways, what one cannot do the other can and vise versa so its not good to compare ourselves with others. Thank you for these words of encouragement x Mady

This is realy strong, this is how i was. I had this very low self-esteem to such a point that i even compared myself with others. But i learned that i am unique, special and chosen by God. So everytime the devil tries to bring doubts in my mind i remind myself of the verse in Isiah where God said that i knew before you were even formed, chosen you and set you apart.

Dear mrs Tania
God chose us because He believed in us so if we believe in our calling everything it's possible we should stop doubting ourselves. The Bible say's in the book of Phillipians 4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.
Thank you
God bless
