Light of the World:

From the window of my house I can see the center of the city of Miami from a distance. During the night it is difficult to distinguish the objects, I can only see the spotlights. Darkness does not allow you to see well, light is the only one that stands out, as a matter of fact if it was not for the buildings being lit, I believe that nothing could be seen.

In the previous article we talked about being the salt of the earth, but if our mission is to give only taste and slow down deterioration, it’s somewhat disheartening.
So the Lord Jesus said that apart from being the salt of the earth, we must be the light of the world.
This means that we are like lighthouses in the middle of this dark world; there is no way to hide it, the light shines wherever you go.
Many have tried to obscure this "light", persecute us, abuse us, criticize us, despise us, but they really want to have what we have, the light of the Holy Spirit.

The light cannot be hidden, nor covered, it is exposed; it shines, dazzles and shines all around, so that, for as much as they try, nobody has been able to extinguish this light.

Those who live in darkness live in the dark, unable to see the things of God and are an easy target of deception.

Now it is complete, we are the salt of the earth and light of the world, to transform, preserve, give flavor and enlighten all who need it.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
