Christian Dating Series 8 - Self-Satisfaction

"I'm 17 years old and I don't have a boyfriend and I'm still a virgin. I know that sex before marriage is a sin but who says that my hormones understand that? People talk about that as if it were the easiest thing on earth, but it's not, as much as I try I can't help but think about sex it's very hard for me to control those thoughts. Is there a way to control the bad thoughts? Is masturbating a sin?"

This scriptures don't approve or recommend masturbation. Some consider it a way of reducing sexual tension, when they're not yet Married, or as an alternative promiscuity or fornication. But this act can become an addiction or in the future affect the relationship with your partner or even your communion with God.

When a person has been baptized in water and her fleshly desires have been buried, then she has the capability to resist those desires of the body.

But if on the contrary, the person hasn't truly "died", then she won't have that self control over sin and sin will continue to dominate your life.

The human body is perfect and will naturally release anything it needs to, it isn't necessary to result to self satisfaction.

Seek being born of God and keep your mind busy with things that will build you up, don't give your fleshly desires the opportunity to distance you from Gods presence.

The word of God says:

"Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God's grace."

Romans 6:14
