Recipe-Cod fish with heavy cream

Every Thursday we meet here at the Cathedral of Miami for a pastors meeting.

Each pastor's wife brings a dish and we have lunch together.

So from now on, every Thursday I will publish a recipe made by each one of us.

Enjoy and bon appétit!

Today I'll start with mine, is not the original recipe because I’ve added a few things, the first time I did this recipe I was in New York and was a delicious, everyone liked it.

Cod Fish with heavy cream:

  • 0.5 kg of desalted cod (unsalted)
  • 600 g potatoes
  • 1 pack of cream milk
  • 1 jar of Alfredo Sauce or four cheeses (added by me)
  • 1 package cream cheese (added by me)
  • 1 onion
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Margarine
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Bake the cod and shred it but not too thin and make sure you remove the skin and the bones of the fish.

Sauté onion and garlic with olive oil and add the cod so it may have that flavor, usually there is no need for salt cod is already salty, but it's always nice to taste, and make sure.

Cut the potatoes into cubes and fry them.

Now let’s prepare the sauce, in a separate pan place some onions and garlic chopped and then add a little bit of olive oil.

After that add the cream cheese, Alfredo sauce and heavy cream and let it thicken over medium heat until a custard stand, put a pinch of salt, and taste it to see how it’s cooking.

Finally find a large pot you can mix the cod, potatoes and the sauce that’s already been prepared.

Grease with butter a baking dish, place the mixture on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Return the oven to a grill mode.
