For those of us who are from cold places, it is very common for us to like tea. Drinking tea in cold winter nights is very good.
Even though, I am currently living in Miami, which is a very hot place, I still drink my tea.
So let’s learn how to prepare tea the right way, to obtain it’s benefits.
So that the tea may preserve it’s elements and taste, there are some things you need to take into consideration :
- Fill a teapot with fresh water and shake it so that it is oxygenated. If the water in the area is very rich in minerals (limestone, for example) you should use bottled water and not water from the sink.
- As the water is heated, pass the teapot through hot water so that when the tea is transferred over from the pot it will still be hot and consequently conserve it’s flavor. Opt for porcelain or glass containers, because it does not alter the taste of tea.
- When the water begins to boil, add the tea. Put one tea bag per cup, or three per pot.
- As the water begins to boil, turn off the stove. Note that, the more the water boils the more oxygen it looses, which leads to poor quality tea.
- Put the tea in the teapot and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- If you want tea with a stronger flavor, increase the amount of tea and let it sit for less time. You must be careful not to let the tea sit for more than six minutes, because if you its flavor becomes bitter.
- Shake gently before serving the tea into the cups.
